prayer - day 18

LORD

I pray today progess is being made in the talks between the government and rebel leaders. That they are finding solutions and resovling their differences. Fill each side with a desire to pursue peace, Lord Jesus. To end Satan's plans for destruction and restore hope and a future to their land.

Please remove the scales from their eyes LORD so they can see and hear the truth and know you true will for their country. So they will be saved and can start rebuilding lives. Please set them free from Satan's grip Lord Jesus. Show them the truth. Fill them with your spirit so today they will make progress and step closer to your will.

If there are any real believers in their midst then please give them the strength to do what is right. Fill them with your courage LORD and let them know that you will never leave them nor forsake them. That the tempation they face is common to man and you will not let them be tested beyond what they can cope with, but you will always provide a way out. Help them to see the way out Lord Jesus.

Greater are you who live in us then he who lives in this world. No weapon formed against us shall prosper, in your name Lord Jesus. Which is above all names.

You said we will overcome by your blood which you sacrificed for us, so we would have a new covenant bought and paid for by your life. So we would be marked by your blood like the first born of Israel and no harm will befall us. But we will only watch the punishment of the wicked. By your blood and our testimony we will overcome.

Our testimony is that you are the Son of God. The Christ sent to redeem our broken sinful lives so that we may go boldly to the thrown and enter the holy of holies without fear. You are my Saviour who was crucified and rose three days later to set us free from death and give us eternal life. So we can meet our Maker and know his love first hand. You, Lord Jesus are worthy of all praise and all honour. For you did what we could not do ourselves.

God's master plan to wrap himself in humanity. A vulnerable child like my 7 mth baby, like the children in Gulu. Dependant on the grownups around him to protect and love him. You know what it's like to be so vulnerable LORD. Your son went through it and lived. I pray that the same will be truth of the children of Gulu. That even though they are carrying horrendous crosses now that they will know the victory of a resurrected Lord and Saviour.

That they will know that you are on their side and you hear their cries and feel their pain. That you will rescue them because you are more than able Lord Jesus. In your name I pray amene
