prayer - day 31

LORD
thanks for being a part of my every day life. Love learning from you and knowing that you love me.

the count down is on LORD. I pray that the situation in Gulu has changed. That children have been rescued and young mothers have found refuge in you. That through Watoto and the geniune effort of others they will know a life full of promise and be protected from evil. Jeremiah 29 will be true for all these children LORD, that your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them a hope and a future.

That no weapon formed against them will prosper but all will know that you are LORD and you have come to rescue your children. LORD I pray your angels are guarding your children and that they cast a shadow over those that would harm them. That they will know what it means to fear the LORD.

I pray that government officials and rebel leaders are working in unity to bring this to an end, so that there will be no more children soldiers. No more young girls being abused and traded as slaves. Please LORD if there are any stubborn hearts left show them your way. Change them LORD i pray in Jesus name. Help them to see your truth. To know that your way is the only way. Please remove their blindness LORD so they will do all they can to pursue peace and bring this chapter in their history to a close.

Fill them with hope for a brighter future LORD. Heal their land and forgive them for their sins LORD. Give anyone that can help these children the courage to do so.

LORD, please fill these children with your Spirit. So they will turn to you and know that your are their Heavenly Father who loves them and wants to rescue them. Please restore their innocence LORD and heal their broken hearts. Forgive them their sins and help them to forgive themselves.

As for those villagers who would reject them. Please fill them with compassion LORD. Help them to see these children as you see them. Help them to forgive them for all the pain they have caused. Show them that these children didn't know what they were doing, but were influenced by adults stronger and more wilful then them. Children learn from their adults LORD. Help them to see that and give them a heart for these children so that they will teach them new ways.
These children need so much love LORD and only you can provide them with this so they will heal completely. Thank you LORD that you are working right now in their lives. Thank you for helping your people to be awesome examples of your love. Please continue to fill them with your strength and passion for Gulu, for the children.

I pray in your name LORD Jesus. Cover them with your grace like you cover me. Help them to do what they can until you show them how to do what they can't do right now. Let them know that you are in complete control and they can trust you LORD. amene.
