lots of thoughts running through my head. why is that? my inlaws have gone but it just occurred to me this minute what my sister-in-law meant when she said that I need to be more normal. my man's family is different from my own family - mine is a lot more work. But I'm normal. Whereas with myles' family it's all about entertaining them, and it's all about them and normal life gets put aside.
Maybe we need to change that. Like now I have so much washing to do, but i kept thinking conserve energy and do what needs to be done - entertain. How funny.
My inlaws are awesome - we did make one change: myles' mum did the dishes heaps. Normally i wouldn't let her do it. I think the best holiday we had with them was just after i had baby - we were more normal then. This holiday was just a week so that probably was a factor.
I love them and want to make them a big part of baby's life. All myles' family. So next time will work on letting them be a part of our every day life.
