God has such high hopes in us that he was willing to sacrifice his son for you. He has more hope in us than we have in ourselves. He is waiting expectantly for us to fulfil these hopes, more than we wait expectantly for him to fulfil these hopes.
He knows all our days. When he sacrificed his son he already knew how much you would fail, he already knew how much you would sin, how selfish you would be, how angry you would be, how hurt you would be. Yet he still let his son be crucified. He still chose to save you. He still thought you were worth it.
He thinks more highly of us than we do. Because he's our Father, our Creator and he loves us more than we could ever imagine.

prayer
LORD
these children are weighing on my heart. Surround them with our prayers LORD, cover them with your body so that Satan will not touch them. Rescue your children LORD. When you were here you said to let the children come to you and not to hinder them in any way. Satan is trying to hinder them now LORD. He is trying to steal their future. But i know you hear their cries LORD and that you will move heaven and earth to rescue them.
Help the leaders of this war to reconcile LORD. Give them hearts of compassion LORD and help them to see their children with mercy. Pave a way LORD for them to stop doing Satans work and see the damage that this path is causing in their country amongst their people. Break them down LORD so they will give this fight up. If there are any believers amongst them then equip them with your strength and wisdom, show them how to pursue peace, and make their paths straight so they end this.
LORD, i pray Psalm 91 over the children caught in this fight, that they will only see the punishment of the wicked but they will not be harmed. That your angels will protect them so they will not tread their feet upon stones because you will lift them up. You will save them and hear our prayers.
The sun will not harm them by day nor the moon by night but you will go before them and save them. LORD, help those who surround your children to put them first. To help them find shelter and protect them from evil. To be your hands, LORD.
Mark them with your blood Lord, like the firstborn of israel so they will not be harmed but live. Return their future to them please LORD. That your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, but to give them hope and a future. Bring some good out of all this evil please LORD.
Help the Skinners to set up the facilities they need to do your work. LORD, this all seems impossible to us, but we believe in you LORD we know all things are possible with you. You can find a way to achieve your purpose LORD.
Have mercy on these children please LORD. hear our prayers, the prayers of your girls. Forgive us our sins and extend your grace to cover these children LORD. Whatever faith we have LORD, help us to use it in the next 40 days to raise these children up to you, to stand in the gap for them.
We are waging a war against principalities not just men, against evil. Set this country free LORD, heal their land, renew their minds, let your spirit work wonders in this nation, move their hearts and help them to see the truth, to walk in each other's shoes, to unite against the greater evil that is tearing them apart.
LORD, i keep seeing images of helpless children. But i know that they are not helpless that you are bigger than their circumstances, that you will not let them perish, that you will send your angels to guard over them.

accept, accept, accept
a long time ago the LORD gave me 3 words representing areas i had to work on - simplify, balance and accept. I have always struggled to remember the 3rd - ACCEPT. I will rattle the other two off but then I'm like 'what's the 3rd again??' and no matter how hard i try it never comes to me until a few days later!
What does that say about me? Loads. I obviously still need to work on this one - ACCEPT. I do accept lots of things in fact most people think i go with the flow and that it takes a lot to make me upset. THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T REALLY KNOW ME!!
Certain things i find hard to accept - THE THINGS I CANNOT CHANGE. I'm a problem solver and i've been brought up to never give up. So when there are things i cannot change...somewhere inside I think to myself THERE MUST BE A WAY...I JUST HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT.

prayers of women
does the LORD hear the prayers of a thousand more than the prayers of 1? Or does he treat each of those 1,000 as individual prayers of 1? If so imagine the prayers of thousands of women?
The Colour women from the Hillsong conferences are praying for the next 40 days as of yesterday for children of Uganda, as part of Watoto's many good works over there.
I love the LORD's timing. I have had children on my heart for a while. I have been praying impossible prayers for them. And then i receive an email yesterday telling me about this initiative from Hillsong women. It's like the LORD reminding me I'm not alone. That I am one of his many girls moved by the lost children of our world.
I'm so grateful for the thousands of women of Colour who I gladly join hands with and pray in unity for our children. To cover them and hide them in the body of our LORD so Satan cannot touch them as we surround them in prayers arm in arm with each other.
The last two nights I have felt overwhelmly tired and just have to sleep earlier than normal. The first night I fought it because it was just way too early for this nite owl. But last night I couldn't resist and went to bed about 10pmish. But i found myself awake every couple of hours. So i finally got up at about 4am. I felt the need to pray and to read his word.
It's because of this 40 days of prayer. I think the LORD just wants me to pray. So here I am. Answering his call.
