why is it so hard?

Myles and I have more time on our hands then most yet we feel like we have no time to do the things we need to do...no energy to do these things.

It's like the mechanics of living this life we have created of work...keeping house, cooking dinner, looking after caleb, shopping for groceries...prevents us from doing the very thing we need to do to keep this life going...working on our health, saving money for our future...for caleb's future.

If we lose our health - there is no future, we will live very short lives and Caleb will be alone.

If we don't save and our health gives way...Caleb will not be looked after as well as he is now.

We just don't get it!!! We know this is true yet we just keep living our lives the way it is as if we are going to live long enough to see Caleb grow up, marry, have children of his own. But we're not!

How plainer can I make it to my flesh: NO HEALTH, NO EXERCISE, NO LIFE! NO MORE WORK, NO MORE KEEPING HOUSE AND NO MORE CALEB.

I feel like screaming it's so frustrating that we can be so STUPID!!!

WOW! I stumbled across your blog from a friend's blog. Your little boy is adorable!
I have 2 daughters (ages 14 and 8) and was also an "older" mom. My husband is 6 years younger than me and doesn't tire as easily but..he often neglects his exercise too! I am in to power walking, hiking and biking....but...you are so right on...it is so hard to find the time to do those necessary things to maintain good health. We try by eating healthy, spending time on the bikes or walking, etc. I had my girls at ages 33 and 39 and yes life gets so busy. Without the Lord in my life I could not possibly do the things I do nor raise my children in this world with all its struggles. Love your articles....come visit me if you like.

Hi Faith
you sound like you've already learnt this lesson that I'm struggling with. Good on you!! You will have to give me some tips.

It's a long weekend (Mon 1st Oct) here in Sydney and we haven't managed to do any exercise! But we have met up with family everyday...and I watched this british tv health programme and apparently spending time with family and friends adds 8 years to your life...so that's a bonus:-)
